Maja Design Guest Designer (Part 4)

Hello! Well here I am today with my very last post as a Guest Designer!
Today I have something totally NOT Christmas themed, or holiday themed LOL
I have used the "Vintage Spring Basics" collection to create a soft and romantic layout of my 2 older daughters.
"Love This"

I love the beautiful colours of this collection. Probably one of my favourites :) I used the "3rd of May" and "4th of May" papers here.

I added some spots with a stencil and modelling paste over my background and layers.

The soft and warm colours of this collection lend themselves to some really gorgeous soft pink flowers and neutral embellishments.

Once again I used a stunning butterfly from my friend Kay Fatula,  which is available at her etsy shop HERE . They are quality handmade butterflies, that are very very well put together with such detail and care. They are so affordable too so if you like this look check out her etsy shop where you will find LOTS like these.

Products Used:
Paper: Maja Design "Vintage Spring Basics" - 3rd of May , 4th of May

One more layout for 13arts for December using the "Timeless" collection.

I truly do love Polish manufacturer 13arts. I will say it is one of the best Design Teams to be on and the products that the owner Aida is releasing every few months REALLY get me excited to get creating.

You should check out the online store HERE but a lot of 13arts products are also available at the Flying Unicorn HERE

"Under The Harbour Bridge"

So I live in the beautiful city of Sydney, and one of our most famous icons is the Harbour Bridge. I live about 15 minutes away from it but it is all the way over the other side of the city for me , which means crossing over it every time we want to get there. This part where the picture above is taken is at Milsons Point, right next to the famous Luna Park and it is just one of my most favourite spots. If you look at the picture closely, you can see on the left hand side the Sydney Opera House :) It is an amazing spot .

Now here is an idea of how I used 13arts products on my layout.
and here are some close ups..

Maja Design Guest Designer (Part 3)

Hi everyone. Have you finished all your Christmas shopping? If not you better get to it! Christmas is only 4 days AWAY!! :) I cannot wait. I love Christmas. It is my favourite time of the YEAR . I really long for a white Christmas.. sigh.. one day :)
Today I have a Christmas card for you that I hope will inspire you to create something similar in the days to come. I created this for Maja Design as part of my Guest Designer spot there this month..
I created this card with the "Vintage Winter" collection
Vintage Winter

For this card here I started by adding some very thick Gesso to the edges of a thick Mixed Media card.
I then cut and sanded the "December" paper from the collection into various sizes, before using a sentiment from the Vintage WInter die cut sheet.
I added some lace trip, some twine and some flowers and now it is ready to give to someone special.. hmmm.. i wonder who?

Scrap Memory Guest Designer!

Hi! How are you all doing? Getting ready for Christmas no doubt :)
Today I am excited to share with you something a little different. I was invited by the lovely Natasha aka Frau_Muller to be a Guest Designer at Scrap Memory, a Russian challenge blog.

It is an awesome place. You need to check it out and see some amazing inspiration.

This is the December challenge

You can make any project (lo, cards, tag what you want) but it MUST contain :

1 inspiration: cold, winter, woman, defenselessness, pride
2 elements: snow, photo of woman, texture paste, white acrylic, glossy, branches
1 word : queen, wind , cold, power, defenselessness,

SO here is what I came up with..

This is an 8"x10" canvas I created and I used sand texture paste and a Prima Bubbles Stencil to prepare the background.

The #23 is a special date in mine and my husband's lives, while the #1 is the number of our current house.

I used a mixture of Lindy's Stamp Gang Industrial Chic mists and magicals to colour the background and the chipboard houses. What is REALLY strange is that this canvas was sitting unfinished on my desk the day the designer of the Industrial Chic set Limor Webber came to MY house and saw her product all over my desk LOL! It was a bit surreal..

The Chipboard houses are actually called Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi Art Parts. These, together with the canvas, sun stencil and newspaper paper came in the October kit at Frog Dog Studio.

Once the background was ready, I added these  very beautiful Manor House Collection flowers. You can get some of these at The Scrapbook Store HERE or for other stockists please look HERE
