Hi there!
This month the challenge I set over at Once Upon A..Sketch was based on friendship. You can find all the details HERE but here is what the challenged looks like..
Theme: Friend
We would like you to create a layout and interpret the theme "Friend" however you like based on the following sketch. You can journal as little or as much as you like, but your layout must incorporate this theme and the sketch below. Please make sure that we see some sort of journalling on your layouts and please tell us where your journalling is . Hidden journalling is perfectly fine.
Here is what I created with the sketch and challenge..
LOVE LOVE that quote from Kaisercraft and I have used it before. I love Kaisercrafts rub on quotes and now that I am designing for them I cam tell you I have A HUGE collection!
So I brought out my messy self here. Sometimes , when I do not think about it too much, I get results I am happy with. I can definitely overcomplicate things for my self I must say, because quite often I think about things too much.
But for this layout here...I just went for it and it was all over in about 30 minutes. Does it show? I don't know..you tell me :)
The Canvas Corp kraft envelope and mini peg includes my journalling .
Now, I was over at my gorgeous and super super talented and HUGELY inspirational friend Gerry Van Gent's blog the other day and I quite liked the way she listed her products under the logo of each Design Team she is on. Since I am on a few teams where I need to link back to the manufacturer and use pretty much their product these days on each project, I have copied Gerry's listing style to make it so much easier for you to find something I have used on a project of mine.
So here is what went into this project..
You & Me title - I inked the title light brown and randomly sponged some gesso on to it
available at Handmade By Suzanne (click on the link)
Miss Match collection - Bingo cards

Miss Match collection - Polaroid Frames
Kaisercraft Paper Blooms - Dusty Pink
Kaisercraft Rub On Quotes - Friends
Other

Hope you have time to play along with us at Once Upon A..Sketch this month!

ReplyDeleteYour work is always stunning Nadia. I cannot believe you do it in such a short time. It would take me several hours to do a layout like that (and it still wouldn't look as good! Lol!)
ReplyDeleteLove your sketch and such a great challenge. xx
Oh Nadia, such a gorgeous page!! I am with Marelize, it would take me forever and still not look as beautiful!! Certainly can not tell it only took a half hour to put together. I also love the sketch and I think I will try and play along with this one. Great theme this time! I have the perfect photo!

ReplyDeletewow! all this messiness makes this LO look so casual and light! amazing work, Nadia! ♥
ReplyDeleteThis is soooo amazing Nadia! I have to admit that I'm jealous that you made such a fab page in only half an hour!! I know how you feel though about overthinking things....lately I've been trying to force myself to just scrapbook and not think too much about it...I read on another blog lately that they remind themselves why they scrapbook...it's not for other people to see online and say that it's awesome...it's to preserve their family's memories...that kinda hit home to me for sure...we scrap to preserve memories ultimately...but it's definitely sweet when people think it's awesome too! lol Your layouts are always amazing though :) Hoping to play along with your challenge this month...I think I might even have some photos that I already want to use :)
