Hey everyone! Hope you are all well.
Well, I did go to the Sydney Craft and Quilt Show yesterday..but I think they need to just call it the Quilt Show! It was 98% quilts and 2% crafts LOL! I was there for less than an hour but DID manage to spend a small fortune at the 2 scrapbooking stands there. I was SO happy to meet Andrew and Sophie Rossides though who are the owners of
SCRAPMATTS. Not only are they based in Sydney and live around the corner from me, but they are Greek too! It was like talking to my aunty and uncle LOL! How proud am I?
If you aren't familiar, Scrapmatts are an Australian laser cut chipboard company who have their own ning site
HERE and have an amazing international Design Team. I bought a few goodies yesterday and LET me tell you that they are amazingly priced and of really good quality and they ship overseas as well. You will be seeing their products on my pages in the weeks to come. I have previously used their chipboard

So I wanted to share one my Design Team layout that I have completed. This is for the current challenge at
The Studio Challenges. The challenge is to...
Create a page about something you dislike about your job. Whether you're a full-time mother or employed by somebody else, what is the thing that drives you nuts? Come on, everyone has something!'
Here is mine..
Everything here is from the May kit from
Tidbitz In Time and just about every piece of material I have used here is Webster's Pages
Spring Market.
I chose to use this collection, because the multiple signs pointing at all different directions is a great representation of how I feel about juggling motherhood and work. This layout is based on the tough decisions I had to make when trying to decide whether to go back to work or stay at home with the kids. I was indeed at a crossroads, because I love my work, I had studied for so many years and of course the financial factor weighed in as well. Ultimately, the need and desire to stay with the kids won over and even when I went back to work recently I only work 2 days a week. I could not see my self as a career woman any more..not without sacrificing my emotional attachment with my children. I wanted this more than anything. I did not want to be a stranger to my kids or for someone else to raise my children. So this in the end, made the choice easy. I have included some hidden journalling at the top right about my feelings.
What do you hate about your work? Why don't you share it with us? Click on over HERE to see the other Design Team examples and hope you feel inspired to try this challenge.
(my photos of my layouts have been coming out a little blurry the last few days ..sorry about that!)

OK..so I left my happy and exciting news to last!!
I have been busting to share this with all of you for a few weeks now and finally I can share with you that I have been invited to join the SUPER talented team at The Craft's Meow as a kit designer!!
Have you heard of The Craft's Meow?
The Craft's Meow is an American based company with an ONLINE STORE that offers an array of stamps, kits and bits and bobs that will make your paper crafting more fun. They carry some amazing stamps and I have just received some in the mail and cannot start playing!
I was asked by the owner, Lisa Hjulberg, to join this team of such talented ladies as a kit designer. At the moment the focus is on CARD MAKING...but I will be a kit designer of a different kind, to be revealed soon :o).
Just check out the team I will join...if you are not into card making you might not recognise some of these names, but let me tell you I am JUST a little nervous to be in this group of such high calibre people...
